This pen stand was based on the topic work from home. while ideating I was trying to design products that would help keep peoples’ desks decluttered. The main focus was to create a pen stand that could help segregate your stationary instead of just dumping everything in one cup. A home office would generally require stationary like pens, pencil, markers, paper clips, etc and the pen-stand has room all the basic stationary.
The Concept
The concept I was trying to go for is fusion. I wanted to create a product that looks like one piece. A product that segregates your stationary and still manages to look neat.Something that looks pleasant, with rounded edges and has a continuous from. Its structure consists of three pen holders and two small trays to hold the smaller stationary. One of the holders is the dominant one whereas the other two are smaller in comparison and are placed on either side of the main pen holder. And the two trays are attached to each of the smaller pen holders.
